Test Your Video Conference Equipment
Prior to connecting to a video conference at Gemini, it is very strongly encouraged that you test your ability to connect to our system. To facilitate this, we have an unattended automated method to test the connection ability. All you have to do is call the Gemini Conference Test system at extension 2222 and make sure you can see yourself as well as hear your own echo.

Overview
In order to create a more reliable and secure video conferencing environment for the organization, we have changed the way external video conference units connect to conference rooms within Gemini. From now on, there is a single IP address to access all video conference rooms at each of the two Gemini facilities:
- For Gemini North (Hawaii) 128.171.188.250
- For Gemini South (Chile) 139.229.33.250
In order to specify an individual video conference room, you must use H.323 Extension (E.164) Most video conference systems or software has a box to enter the entension. If not, there are a couple of different formatting standards:
- IPAddress##ext (128.171.188.250##2222)
- IPAddress,,ext (128.171.188.250,,2222)
- ext@IPAddress (2222@128.171.188.250)
