DSSI is available during the first half of 2018A at Gemini South.

2015 August 15

DSSI is available to the Gemini South community for up to 100 hours (subject to demand) in 2016A. Targets must be visible in the second half of 2016A. To request DSSI at Gemini South in 2016A you must select the "Visitor" instrument option in the Phase I Tool resource list, choose Gemini South, and then type DSSI for the instrument name.

2015 March 1

DSSI is available to the Gemini North community for up to 100 hours (subject to demand) in 2015B. Targets must be visible in December (RA between 23h and 13h).

2014 September 1

DSSI is available to the Gemini community for up to 100 hours (subject to demand) in 2015A. Targets must be visible in July (RA between 13.5h and 2.5h).

2014 February 28

DSSI is available to the Gemini community in 2014B for up to 100 hours (subject to demand) in the period July 17 - 27, allowing access to targets with RAs between 15h and 3h (wrapped around 0h).

2013 February 15

DSSI successfully completed a trial run in July 2012 and is now offered to the Gemini community in 2013B. Depending on the outcome of the TAC meetings, the instrument will be offered for up to three weeks from late July to late August. Therefore, targets with RA between 15 and 3 hours (wrapped around 0h) may be proposed for, subject to actual scheduling and required total exposure time.
