Interactive ODB Snapshot - Gemini
North 2009B
|
This page is intended primarily for use by the National Gemini Office support staff
and the Gemini Contact Scientists to monitor the status of programs during the
Phase II process. It is updated daily at about 9am local time. (Program PIs
might wish to look at the overall queue summary page
and the link from
each program to the execution status of each observation which is updated every
4hrs or
at the nightly log of observations executed each night. The table below does
show the contact names for each program; see also the list of NGO and Gemini
support e-mail addresses).
Notes about table contents and interactive use:
- The table entries are updated directly from the Observing Database
at about 9am local time (in Hawaii or Chile). Each row corresponds to
one program for the telescope and semester specified in the page
title. If you don't see a table but instead see a thick blue line it
is likely that you have script execution disabled in your browser.
- The seven columns labeled %[text] show the fraction of observations in
each state. Non-zero percentages at "Phase II", "For
Review" or "For Activation" are highlighted orange.
Note that these fractions are of observations, not allocated time.
Sometimes the two are far from equivalent, for example if a program
includes many alternate targets or calibration observations.
- The NGO and Gemini Contact Scientist (CS) names are extracted from
the entries in the Science Program e-mail fields with the domain
removed.
- The table is configurable (using client-side javascripting so that
there is no additional load on the Observing Database server).
- Click on the title of any column to sort the table. An arrow appears next to the
column title to show the sort order
(ascending or descending).
- There is an option at the bottom of the table to filter the rows
using a text string. In the box next to "use" enter the
string, select the column to which it should be applied from the
pull-down list and click on the tick/check icon to filter. To turn off
filter, click on the [x] icon. You can also clear sorting or filtering
by refreshing the page using your browser controls. As an example,
type dav in the search box, select the NGO email column and activate
the filter. The results show only those program for which Tim
Davidge is the NGO contact. You can also sort the filtered list by
clicking on the column titles. Note that the search is case sensitive.
- You can click on one or more rows of the table to highlight them (in
yellow). This highlighting is carried forward into sorting and filtering
results and cancelled by refreshing the page.
- If the table has more than 25 rows, subsequent entries are displayed
on additional pages. Click on the arrows at the bottom right or left
to move through the pages.
