Relationship between the Paschen-alpha and 8-micron luminosities
Relationship between the Paschen-alpha and 8-micron luminosities of the HII regions in the sample LIRGs. The correlation implies that to first order the 8-micron luminosity of a LIRG can be used to determine the overall star-formation-rate within the galaxy.
